Ammons Ventures is proud to announce the acquisition of the Raleigh Center Ice (“RCI”) ice skating facility. RCI is the official practice and training center of the Carolina Hurricanes NHL team. RCI is also home to numerous youth and adult hockey teams and organizations.
“We are excited to acquire RCI, and we look forward to quickly making significant investments to upgrade its physical plant and create a customer-friendly environment for our figure skaters, hockey players, and their families,” said Jeff Ammons owner of Ammons Ventures. “We are proudly enhancing the facility to provide the best possible venue for our Carolina Hurricanes to utilize in order to provide the team our full support. We are equally excited to partner with American Skating Entertainment Centers, LLC, (“ASEC”) to manage the facility. We believe that ASEC’s incomparable industry experience and expertise will dramatically enhance customer service and improve RCI’s operations.”
“We are thrilled about the opportunity to work with Jeff Ammons to transform RCI into a premier ice skating facility, accelerating our growth and further demonstrating our commitment to the Triangle Region,” stated Shane Coppola Chairman and CEO of ASEC. “Jeff is a visionary developer with a successful track record in the market. RCI will complement our successful Sports Factory, Cary Polar Ice House, Garner Polar Ice House, and Downtown Raleigh Winterfest facilities allowing us to continue to provide the best sports and recreation experiences for the residents of the greater Raleigh metropolitan area.
“Jeff Ammons has been a long-time supporter of the Hurricanes, and we are excited about his commitment to upgrade the Raleigh Center Ice facility. This is an important development for the sport of hockey in our community, and we look forward to building a partnership with Ammons Ventures and ASEC” stated Ron Francis, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes.
Mike Baxter, ASEC’s Regional Manager commented, “I truly believe that this is a great opportunity for our customers, coaches, employees, and partners. Under ASEC’s leadership, best-in-class customer service, and operating standards, we are confident that we can take RCI to the next level. We will quickly begin to offer additional programming including the Hurricanes Youth Hockey League, learn-to-skate, learn-to-play, track-out day camps, and birthday parties.
