House of Sports Completes 5,000sqft Learn to Play Renovation

To start 2022, ASEC’s largest indoor multi-sport facility, the House of Sports (Ardsley, NY) made a major investment into its dedication to youth sports and Learn to Play department. First, the facility added a new Youth Sports Director role and promoted Elizabeth Millan into this position. Millan has been with the House of Sports since 2019 as a lead class and club Volleyball coach. She has played a critical role in growing House of Sports Volleyball to one of the largest programs at the facility. As a Westchester native, Liz played sports in the county all her life and has worked with youth athletes as a coach for the past 10 years.

Shortly after the appointment of Millan, the facility began renovation on a 5,000 square foot Learn to Play area located on the mezzanine level of House of Sports. This space is now the hub for all things Learn to Play including classes, camps and birthday parties for children 2 to 8 years old. This space includes two turf fields, a mini basketball court, multipurpose area and a game room equipped with a 50” television, ping-pong table and a Pop-a-Shot arcade style basketball game.

The renovation of the Learn to Play space was completed in April and saw its grand opening in conjunction with Spring Holiday Camp. This holiday camp saw over 275 total camp registrations over 5 days, and the new area received rave reviews from both campers and parents.
