UCLA Health & LA Lakers Select American Skating Entertainment Centers to Operate New Practice Facility

UCLA and the Los Angeles Lakers have engaged American Skating Entertainment Centers, LLC (“ASEC”) to manage and operate the Lakers’ new state-of-the-art practice facility that is currently under construction in El Segundo, CA.  The UCLA Health Lakers Training Center is a 120,000 square foot facility which will encompass a 750-spectator arena for LA Defenders games, multiple practice courts, a world class training center, and all of the Lakers’ offices is scheduled to open in the summer of 2017.
ASEC, the largest independent owner/operator of ice skating rinks and indoor sports facilities in the United States, will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operations at the Lakers’ new facility.  ASEC manages the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, which is owned by AEG and has served as the Lakers’ practice facility since 1999.
